Scott Carlin
Keyboards and Vocals
A very gifted musician, the best word to describe Scott Carlin is: virtuoso. Whether it's the vintage growl of his customized Hammond C3 (It is plated in stainless steel!), flawless classically inspired work on the 88 keys of a concert grand piano, or his innovative use of samplers and Midi synthesizers, Scott is truley a World-Class keyboardist.
"I like orchestration, and making the music sound "big", with as much depth as the piece can
handle without overkill. One of this band's assets is that I may see things from a perspective
that Robert doesn't see or hear, and he does the same for me. It's like we're each others
'trouble-shooters' I guess, not to mention the fact that we've known each other since second grade.
That's a pretty good track record I'd say." "Although my old piano teacher probably rolls
over in her grave at some of the things that I do, ( I'm only talking music now... )
I think over all she'd be proud. Some of our musical pieces are very complex orchestrations,
I can thank my friend and inspiration Keith Emerson (Emerson, Lake and Palmer)
for that, and then some tunes are just played 'balls to the wall'.
I think there's really some fantastic performances on our CD's for rock music fans to
relate to...It's like a loaded pizza, it's all in there somewhere!"
