Robert Mackey's Bio
 He has a unique, haunting vocal style (somewhere between Don Henley (Eagles), Bono (U-2) and Lou Gramm (Foreigner) and powerfully melodic songwriting that inspire great audience response. He has shared the stage with international rock acts like Kansas, Cheap Trick, Loverboy and Survivor to name a few. Mackey plays acoustic, electric and bass guitars, piano, keyboards and drums. In fact he played many tracks himself during the recording of his "Maxi-Single" and "It's Tonight" CD's.

While he has composed hundreds of songs over the years he has chosen only a few dozen to record, produce and release commercially.

Mackey, who is a member of N.A.R.A.S. (National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences...The "Grammy" People) is also an accomplished and gifted music producer who models his production style after the legendary Alan Parsons ( Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Al Stewart, The Alan Parsons Project ) whom he has had the privilege of meeting, and Jeff Lynne (ELO, Tom Petty).

Robert also heads up a 48+ track recording studio SongWerks in the western Chicago suburbs and does open his studio up for select projects and Artists. Mackey keeps a busy musical schedule by writing commercial jingles, producing other artist in diverse music genre's like pop, country, dance, r&b and even a show tune demo project for an actor/singer. He has also done "voice-over" for radio spots. Recent projects include writing music for a "Victoria's Secret" commercial and completing a demo song for a talented young actress/singer Jessy Schram who is featured in the Hallmark TV series "Jane Doe" starring Lea Thompson and featured in the NBC TV show "Medium" starring Patricia Arquette.

The new AVM CD "A Matter Of Time" will feature a song by the same name co-written by Robert Mackey AND legendary Grammy award winning and multi-platinum songwriter Jim Peterik ("Eye Of The Tiger", The Search Is Over" / SURVIVOR, "Hold On Loosely" / 38 SPECIAL and more top ten hit songs).

Currently, he is creating the entire film score for the feature film "Wrong Place At The Wrong Time" to be released in 2008 on Film Star Pictures.

When asked to describe his music..."I call it 'multi-generational' because it is a hybrid. It's fresh, yet it reflects the synergy inspired by the great rock music classics. Today, not only young people... but amazingly their parents (the Baby Boomers) share a passion for rock music too! I think that people just forgot how much they LOVE classic rock...and how many of today's young people were raised on it!

Robert Mackey also is an actor, having performed in a few commercials. He recently filmed scenes for the feature length alien-vampire movie "Lost Girls" by Director/Writer Alexander Alcarese and a dark comedy movie "Wrong Place At The Wrong Time" to be released in 2008 on Film Star Pictures. He is scheduled to appear in a couple of other films currently in the pre-production and production phases. Additionally, he will be writing songs and music for several upcoming movie projects.
