AVM music News for July 2008
We Have A New BASS PLAYER !
Robert and the band welcome bassist TOM HAMNING whose debut live performance will be July 4th. Check out Tom’s bio at the band bio page.
AVM will be performing on Friday July 4th at 9pm at The Eyes to the Skies Balloon Festival” in Lisle, IL. The Eyes to the Skies Festival is one of the largest in the Chicagoland area. Attendance to this festival usually runs between 150-200,000 people and due to it’s 90+ acre park-like setting, patrons never feel overcrowded. The festival is designed to entertain patrons of all ages. This year special features include a Circus, Radio Disney, Let’s Do Art, Bean-Bag Tournaments, and Chicago’s top local talent. National Touring Acts include Blake Sheldon, Kansas, Drake Bell, and Bucky Covington. Tickets will be available on the festival website.
AVM will be performing on the "EVVIVA" Stage located near the main entrance of the fest. To all of our fans - this entire show is being taped so make sure to be up front by the stage, sing along and have a Rockin Good Time!
Their performance is in conjunction with the upcoming release of the much anticipated new full-length CD ‘A Matter of Time’ and their related music video release of the tribute song to the military soldiers and their families ‘So Hard’. We have been informed that this song will be featured during the patriotic music part of the July 4th spectacular Fireworks show! (very cool).
We wish to introduce you to a very special person. Mr. Tom Hughes and his family will be flying in for this entire fest. Tom heads up a very important charity organization Music For Troops www.MusicForTroops.com . This wonderful charity provides “No Charge” music downloads for any current and veteran U.S. Armed Forces. All they have to do is go to the site and register for FREE. Please join us in supporting this great charity and donate at our show generously…let our soldiers know that you support them AND their families. They give us so much! Please help give the gift of MUSIC and make a tax-deductable donation to this worthy non-profit charity. Thank You!

About the new CD
"We are on the home stretch! The last group of songs are being mixed and mastered for CD pressing and Digital Download" says Robert Mackey. We have received some interest already in Europe and Japan. Drummer Steve Birkett says "The new songs they smoke, I think people are going to be incredibly surprised by the depth of this album". The bottom line is that the band is very happy with this new album several years in the making and now scheduled to wrap any week now.
